Anyone in Grassroots footy back to training yet?
Our club play in Surrey Youth league and are making moves to look at possibly getting some kind of training within the guidelines. I know some of the cricket and rugby lot have done so.

Just interested in any one on here who's clubs teams are doing same.

Cheers..

Goose. No. Its one coach per six kids BUT you can coach more than one group of six at same time as long as the different groups of six do not directly interact during the session at any point.

I thought it was 1 coach per 6 kids? Or is that just the younger ages?

Re: Anyone in Grassroots footy back to training yet?
Yes we started a few weeks ago. You can coach a group of up to 6 who are socially distanced ie at least 2 metres apart from each other so no contact allowed.

You can have two groups of six at same time do if you're coach you create two areas for each group to train in. Each group cannot interact with other group through entire session but as a coach you can deal with each group alternately.

If anyone want to spend the time, here is a link to to the official FA guidance for "Restarting football activity during Covid-19". Should download you a PDF. Aimed at "Providers of outdoor football facilities, including clubs". From 12th June so still current.

Re: Anyone in Grassroots footy back to training yet?
Our kids football teams have been training for the last few weeks in small groups.

We made a short video to educate parents and kids. If anyone wants to borrow it then just message me on here. It would only take a few minutes to change the badge, etc.

Re: Anyone in Grassroots footy back to training yet?
Very frustrating that we are being careful with distancing etc etc and in the same park the same day a group of kids play a game while their parents all sit (close) together drinking,

Saw people training last weekend at Brettons Farm in Rainham, so I assume it was kids.
